Jeanette, Sallie, Debbie, Kenny & Julie, I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your precious Dad. I have nothing but the fondest memories of him and your sweet family. There were a lot of fun times at Decatur Ave Baptist. I will always treasure those memories. It has been a long time, and I should have kept in touch. I will keep your special family in my heart and in my prayers

Ms. Chambless and Family,

As a neighbor, I could always depend on Mr. Chambless to wave and give me a great big smile whenever he was out, although, lately I had missed that very much due to his health. Please know that my daily prayer for you and the family is that your faith will sustain you in the coming weeks, months and years. He will be missed by all the lives he touched so graciously.

I haven’t seen Kenneth & Jeanette in a long time, but I can truly say that I had some wonderful times with the family during my grade school years. Kenneth would load up all of his children plus my brother Ron and I in his camper truck and head for Marine Creek Lake. We would eat hamburgers, pork & beans and potato chips by the camp fire and the boys would fish. I can still remember the smoke smell on our coats from the fire along with cigar smell from the cigars that Kenneth smoked. I loved that smell! Our Dad never had time to take us on outings like that….so thank you for involving us….you made us feel like part of the family.
Sallie and Bo, my very dear friends, please know how much you mean to me. My heart goes out to you and your family in this time of sorrow. I’m here if you need me for anything.
I love you guys,
LouAnn

Dad, I miss you more than I ever thought imaginable. I am still waiting for you to come to me in my dreams - I need you, I need to talk to you, I need to know that you are truly ok. I know in my heart that you are, but I want you to tell me so. To my precious, wonderful family, we could not have made it without each other. Dad's strength showed thru each of us these past few weeks and especially these past 2 weeks. Also Debbie, I can never thank you enough for being with mom the morning dad passed. Your strength is what mom needed at that time. And to my Mom, my hero, my inspiration, my best friend, my world revolves around you and I can never thank you enough for all you have done and been for dad during his time of extreme need. You are always here for me and I'll never be able to thank you enough for what you do for me. God has truly blessed me with you and my wonderful family. I love you Dad - I love you Mom - I love you Tom and Emily, I love you my wonderful siblings, Sallie, Bo, Debbie, Kenny - Brenda & Ray, - my precious nieces and nephews Jennifer, Ro, Nathan, Brock, Yasaman, Josh, Mabi, Aiden, Abby, Traci & Eily, Duane - Jesus now has a side kick, like Tonto to Lone Ranger, when he walks with each of us. Dad, Pops, Pappa, will always be with each of us, always......

I just want to add, Yasaman I love you too and I'm sorry I left you off. Pops really loved you and thought your Mom, Zoey, was a special lady.
I also want to thank everyone that came to pay their respects to Pops. It really showed our family how much he is loved.

Dearest Family, I have no way of expressing in simple words how honored I was to have been asked so many years ago by Kenneth to do his eulogy. The pressure I felt wasn’t that of speaking to a crowd, but more of how to try to express how much I loved your dad and how he impacted my life, both mentally and spiritually. He truly loved his Lord and Savior and without a doubt, I know he’s with Him at this very moment. I look forward to seeing him again when I get to goto Glory and fish with him again. You are blessed to have such a great guy for a dad. You are evidence of 'The Dash' in his life.

From your Kuz,
Ben

Pops,
Ro, Nathan & I will miss you so much. You have always been a good man. You made Ro feel like family the first time you met him and I thank you for that. You taught me so many things. At times, I thought you were so mean but now that I'm older I understand the lessons you were teaching me. I'm a better person because of them. I promise you I will look after Nan and my Mom and make sure they're ok.

Mom & Nan, I love you so much. I'm always there if you need me.

Dad, Brock, Ro, Nathan, Julie, Tom, Emily, Kenny, Brenda, Abby, Traci, Debbie, Ray, Josh, Mabi, Aiden & Duane I love y'all so much and I'm so glad you're in my family.

Love Jen

Dear Chambless family:
I just wanted to let you all know how special the service was for your husband, dad, sibling, grandpa, father-in-law was on Monday.
The friends who spoke of him had great things to say and that is such a testament to his life. His friend by marriage that first spoke assured everyone there about his salvation and gave the opportunity for everyone there to examine their hearts. What a great gift at a sad time for Kenneth to give his friends and family.
Kenny's heart felt talk about his dad was so moving along with Jennifer's sweet memories of her grandpa.
It was one of those times when you say to yourself, "I missed out not knowing this person." I'm so glad that you all had him in your lives and that you will see him again when we all go home.
God bless you sweet Chambless family,
Connie Upshaw

We all have a special memory that we will hold dear in our hearts of Pops. That may be a certain touch, sound or smell of him. Whatever that may be, we all feel he was the best grandfather. He loved each of us so much and was so proud of us no matter what we did. I will continue to make Pops proud by pursuing my dreams and finishing my schooling. Nanny, I Love You. Things will be tough for a while, but they will get better. If the Lord brings you to it, He will take you through it. Hold on to your faith and you have all of us to hold you together as well. Dad, I love you and things will get easier for you also. And to all my Aunts and Uncles and cousins, thank you for being a part of the wonderful family we have. We will stay strong and we can all get through this together. I love you all dearly...
