1933 - 2016

Kenneth A. Kautzer, both loving husband and proud father, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016. Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane in Keller. Visitation: The family will welcome visitors 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst. Memorials: The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association in his honor. Kenneth was born July 31, 1933, in St. Nazianz, Wis. During his time on earth, Kenneth led a full life, proudly serving his country as member of the 29th Infantry of the U.S. Army, and then various financial capacities for hospitals owned by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and Daughters of Charity. He eventually rose to the level of CFO and senior vice president of Finance of St. Mary's Hospital in Chicago, Ill. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn; his loving children, son, John and his wife, Brenda, of Springfield, Ill., and his children, Kimberlee and her husband, Sean Higgins, and great-granddaughter, Astrid, Ryan and his wife, Katie, and Jeremy Powell, son, Jeffrey and his wife, Dawn, of Pewaukee, Wis., daughter, Karen and her husband, Terry Whistler, and children, Robert, Randall and Angela, of North Richland Hills, and son, Bryan of Fort Worth. He is also survived by sister, Donna Lass of Oak Creek, Wis., and numerous family and friends in Wisconsin and Texas.
