Larry Ross Obituary

Larry M. Ross, born Feb. 10, 1944, in Mexico, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Martin United Methodist Church in Bedford. Memorials: May be given to Martin United Methodist Church. Larry and his parents moved to Omaha, Neb., after World War II. Larry graduated from the University of Nebraska. He moved to Oklahoma after Army Reserves basic training. Soon afterwards, he married Bobbie Wilkinson in 1967. Larry was a geo-chemist for Amoco Production Company in Tulsa for 30 years. Larry enjoyed activities with his sons, including being a soccer coach and referee, and a scout leader. He was also president of the Southpark Homeowners Association. Larry was a charter member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, Okla., for 40 years. After moving to Euless in 2009, he became an active member at Martin United Methodist Church in Bedford. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Ross; son, Andy Ross and his wife, Mariana, of Euless; son, Matt Ross of Chicago, Ill.; granddaughters, Sydney and Ashley Ross. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Christensen; and sisters, Judy Dill, Nancy Ivey and Mary Christensen.
