He married the love of his life, Betty Janice Gaston, in 1950. Together they had three children. Throughout his life, LeRoy worked hard and his determination made him successful in his endeavors. He worked for the railroad, General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, began The Hub Clothiers in Weatherford in 1954-1967 and he also sold uniforms to Southern Airways. LeRoy has been a faithful member of Calvary Methodist Church since 1954. He served on various committees of the Methodist Church for many years. Since 1954 he belonged to the fraternal order of the Knights of Pythias, along with his brother, Granville. Through this work, he was instrumental in introducing his mother to accept a position as a loving matron at the Pythian Home for more than 30 years. For 20 years he belonged to the National Guard, with one of those years being active service in the U.S. Army. He was proud that he served with distinction and earned the highest regards of his superiors. A little known talent of his was his ability to write poetry. He acted as correspondent, writing animated coverage for Millsap High School football and basketball teams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Janice Hott; granddaughter, Kristen Hott-Barham; sister, Esta Ashcraft; and brothers, Granville and Carl Hott. To Leroy's family and friends, I'm so sorry for your loss and pray the aching in your heart will soon be overcome by the great memories.

I was blessed to meet and work with Leroy at General Dynamics on Panel 6, later named the Change Implementation Group. What an awesome man with incredible ethics. A great teacher with a lot of patience, a leader, a friend, a mentor, and treated me like his own.
A funny yet profound memory of his work ethic: My first year working with Leroy, Wed before Thanksgiving, Leroy does not say "its time to go home" until after normal shift end, same as any work-day. Then day before Christmas break, everyone has left the work area by 230 pm.... except Leroy and I. LOL then at about 415 he says "its time to go home" and "Chuck...have a Merry Christmas".

Gee - What great memories of him. After the celebration in Heaven at his arrival, I wonder if he will might raise cucumbers to pickle!

R. I . P , my friend. Worked with Leroy on several projects thru the years at GD/Lockheed Martin. A kind and gentle man who was repescted by all who knew him. I went to college with two of his sisters and he always kept me up to date on them. We missed him last Mon. at our bi-annual Material Retirees get together in Granbury and his absence will always be on our hearts.
