Lorethea Billiot

Lorethea Billiot, a longtime resident of Fort Worth, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at the age of 82. She was born Lorethea Virginia Ambrona and was originally from New Orleans, La. At the young age of 13, she met her lifelong companion, Elfere S. Billiot, and they had seven children, Janette Elaine, Robert Joseph, Douglas Anthony, Elfere St. Claire Jr., Frederick Anthony, Christine Marie and Samson Moses Billiot. She was a hard-working, devoted wife and mother who supported her family by working at Halliburton and A Brandt, a furniture maker. She was a mother to many and was affectionately known as "Mom" or "Grandma Mom" by all her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and loved to sew and care for her garden. We will miss her immensely. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elfere S. Billiot, and son, Douglas Billiot. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Janette Diaz and husband, Rico Diaz; her son, Robert Billiot; her son, Elfere Billiot Jr.; her son, Frederick Billiot and wife, Sherry; her daughter, Christine McFarland; and son, Samson Billiot. She had 90-plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
