Dear Austen,

My dad called me to tell me that your dad had passed away. I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am for you and your family. I know I haven't talked to you since highschool, but I have fond memories of you and your parents. I remember one night, a group of us were over at your house watching movies or something and your dad made vanilla milkshakes. I thought he made the best one in the world... I just wanted to let you know that I am keeping your family in my prayers!

To Gail, Austen, and family:

Elliott and I were deeply sadden to hear of Marcus' death. I am so sorry that we did not know any earlier. Marcus was a devoted father & he took great pride in you, Austen. I know he will be greatly missed. The times we spent with you and your family at Blue Raider and chasing the team all around the Metroplex were great times. You are in our prayers. May God be with you.

Love always,

June & Elliott Crawford

We have some very good memories of Marcus. And yes, most of them revolve around softball! Our families have shared some wonderful times together. I am only sorry we lost contact over the years. I do remember how much he loved his son and how special Austen was to him. May God bless you and your family during this time of loss. We will cherish the memories we have and the fun times that we shared with Marcus. Billy & Jo Ann Warren

To: Austen & Family

At a time like this there are no true words that I can say that truly express my sympathy for you. But, if we’ll focus on the good times we had at Southwest High supporting your father and you in your love for baseball, we’ll make it through these tough days. There will be more days to come that we'll have to fight back our feelings and we'll do it again with our thoughts of the good days. Stay strong and take care of your family.

With Love,

Joe O. Wickware & Family
