Marion Atchison FORT WORTH -- Marion Atchison, 90, died peacefully at Legacy at Bear Creek in Keller on Friday, August 4, 2017. We lost a member of The Greatest Generation. SERVICE: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Visitation: 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Marion Lampos Hanes Atchison had been living in the Ridglea neighborhood of Fort Worth since 1965. Marion was very active in her community, over the years she served as President of the Womans Club, supported Habitat for Humanity, SCORE, the Boy Scouts of America, local Bridge Clubs, Little League Baseball, and many other organizations through Lockheed Martin Recreational Area. Marion raised her family in her Ridglea home, with all of her children graduating high school from Arlington Heights. Marion was employed as an accountant and executive secretary at Pritchard & Abbott tax accountants, and Southland Royalty until she retired in 1988. Marion Lampos Hanes Atchison was born on July 18, 1927, in Brockton, Mass. to Thomas and Constance Lampos. She was the youngest of six children. She married William Flavius Hanes in 1950 and they had three children, Lynda Jean Hanes, William Craig Hanes and Thomas Michael Hanes. She was widowed in 1995, and married Donald Atchison, Sr. in 1999. Together, Marion and Don raised her grandson, Dustin Hanes. SURVIVORS: Husband, Don Atchison; son, Thom Hanes; and her grandsons, Shawn William Crowley and wife, Amanda Crowley, Dustin Matthew Hanes and Nathan Thomas Hanes; she is also survived by Don Atchison, Jr. of Maryland, Mark Atchison of Pilot Point; their children; and her great-grandchildren, Shawn and Amanda, Gwendolyn and Tyler Crowley.
