Dear Bob, Scott, Chris, Beth and grandchildren,
We are so sorry for your great loss. Marty was such an extraordinary woman. My years with her at the Harvest House will never be forgotten. She'll always have a special place in my heart.
Love, Karen
I have known Marty since we moved to
Burleson and our kids grew up together.
Mike (our son)& Scott were friends in High School and we were always seeing him at ballgames and such.
Marty was a true friend and never forgot you once she knew you.
God Bless you all and our prayers are with you all.
We will miss her presence at all the Harvest House, Little Red Schoolhouse and especially at Christmastime when she loved to be able to see the faces of so many people that she helped and always welcomed them at the door when we were distributing the packageg and gifts.
God has a new helper.
Love

Martha Lou was NEVER a quitter. A strong, passionate person who loved every little thing life had to offer her. Aren't her children and grandchildren lucky to have such strength and passion handed down to them through her? We all wish we could be there with you.

Some 30 something years ago, Marty and I became "forever friends"..Any gift or card that was exchanged between us was always signed that way, and we knew.
Even with this separation, we are still "forever and ever friends". Marty and I have laughed a million laughs, prayed together a lot, got upset and angry with each other a couple of times, worked together many, many hours, cried a few times, and even sang together only by ourselves, cause singing was not our strong suit. I bet she is singing beautifully now..... I miss her.
My prayer is that Bob, Beth, Scott, Chris and all the kids will be comforted by His hand during this time. Love you all, Libby

To the Metheny family, Marty was a great friend and associate to all. In her own way she was a mentor to many,by what she had to say and her can and will do spirit, It was my honor to serve with her as elder, deacon, usher, team member etc. she was always there to help. Her Legacy was her Love for others and their well being-She was an example of God's Love-Now it is her turn for Love without pain or sorrow, She will be missed but always remembered, Fred Jennings

Bob,to you and your children and grandchildren : Barbara and I are so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and angel among us here in Burleson and neighboring communities.
Marty always gave 110%, especially as she worked her wonders with Holiday Friends and Little Red Schoolhouse ! We know Marty is in the most beautiful place of all now, with GOD and without pain !
We know GOD called Marty home to be among the other angels and probably, at special times, to prepare heavenly "Marty Cake"...which we all know as a delight to enjoy !
God's blessings to you all as family, friends, and neighbors share his love with you through hugs, tears, food, more hugs !!!
Love, Doug & Barbara

Bob, I am so sorry. I will keep you and family in my prayers. Marty was such a special person I will always remember her and the support I received from her after coming to Saint Matthew in 1986. She probably didn't know how much she helped me and I wished I had told her. It was such an honor to work with her in the Little Red School House and Holiday Friends. Those times will always be special times in my memory. I think about Saint Matthew quite often. Lynette
