Dear Rock Discovering this deeply saddens my heart. Many years ago in a house in Arlington, Rock was roommates with my big brother John and (Mike) Petty while they (and I) attended UTA. Rock and John were investing in futures of engineering and Petty readying for law school (via history, political science ?) eventually. Rock was so soft spoken, so kind, funny, sweet, helpful with my math studies like a big brother, handsome with a great big smile, subtle laugh and gentle spirit, and his long blonde curls made him a fierce challenge for any rock star. I was very privileged to get to hang out/tag along with them. Weekly we dined on Wednesday night Pancho specials, Thursday (?) night Greek and lots of music, a few Coors, etc. and great company. (Joe) Foster would come by their house on his way to take his girl to Casa (Manana). It was a wonderful time of friendship and laughs, studying to reach our goals. At one time, Rock was going to help his dad open a business in San Diego if I´m remembering correctly. I don´t know if he ever did that. His life must have been awesome as his travels took him to parts of the world most only dream about. I´m so happy his life included a family of his own. True blessings. My heart goes out to you all. I´m so sorry for the loss of your beloved father and husband, brother. He was a truly great person. If only we all had stayed in touch through the years. These memories will always bring a smile and fill my heart remembering our own Rock star May you Rest In Peace in the loving arms of our Lord.
Love, Becca

I worked with Mike at Howell Instruments from the time he was first hired until his leaving. He was a good and pleasant worker with an easy going and cheerful personality. Everyone liked him. I am sorry to hear of his passing. We have lost a good man.

I went to Paschal High School with Mike and also graduated in 1969
21 years ago we moved unbeknown to us almost across the street from Mike and Hope. Mike was always willing to come help me with little things around the house as he was quite good at repairing things including cars which Mike loved.
Mike was one of the kindest and gentle men I have ever known
Needless to say we were all shocked when we heard about his short battle . Rest in Peace my friend
