Today was a beautiful day. A day to remember Robert "Tater" Boynton.
A man devoted to his service to God and his family. He was a dear friend of my father O.C. Tucker. He is the reason that my Parents moved to Azle just before I was born. Tater and my father worked together at the U.S. Post office. Tater, which is what I knew him by was a mentor to many, including Wes and Luke. He never met a stranger. He helped anyone that needed help. I remember a time that my dad was working on Tater's lawnmower and my dad needed to take it to our house. Tater told my father to back the truck into the gutter and then we can lift it up into the bed. I also remember going to Tater's house to play with Luke and Wes. Irene would play songs on her black piano and make us sing with her. Most of the songs were Sunday school songs. She could play and teach well. She was a great teacher too at the Rock School.
To the family: Robert set the example, therefore you will all be ok. He taught all who met him how to live a Godly life and that God will take care of your needs. Lean on God and HIS word.
Today we laid Robert to rest, but did not say goodbye, but "see you soon." He will be missed as well as Luke. Keep his memories close to heart and there he will be also.
God Bless

It was a pleasure to have known Robert Boynton and to have worked with him at Azle Caring Center several years ago. He will be missed by many that knew him or were blessed by his generosity. We send our sympathies to all of his loved ones.

I haven't seen Mr Boynton since about 1987 but I think about him a lot. He has been a role model to me for years and is an example of how we are to serve others.
I know that I will never forget him.

Robert was a wonderful man and a joy to be around. He loved his family and was always there to support and cheer for his grandchildren in whatever sport they were in. He will be greatly missed by all. May the Lord continue to comfort you and your family during this time.

Mr. Boynton was a man of moral character, integrity, servanthood and a true cornerstone of our community. The memories he leaves behind for all of his family will never be forgotten. May each of you know that there are many people praying for your family. May God wrap you in His loving arms and fill you with His grace and His peace.

Shocked at his passing. First met "tater" at Luke's tee-ball practice. Didn't take long to know he was truly one of the finest gentleman I ever met. Will miss his warm smile and kind words.

Boynton Family,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Robert. I know he fought a hard battle these last few years. There are so many great times that I can recall when the Boynton & Martin families did things in the past. I know that Robert and Dad had a wonderful friendship for many years. Robert was a great neighbor & friend during our early years that helped shape all our lives. May God's love help you thru the coming days. The Les Martin Family

To the family of Robert Boynton,
When I heard the news of Mr B's passing my heart sank. When I think of Mr B, I think of a man devoted to his service to God and his family, a man of character, grace, and dignity. Alway thinking of others and willing to do whatever he could to help someone. I will always remember his sense of humor and that laugh of his. I, like so many others feel that my life was enriched by knowing him. My thoughts and prayers are for you and with you at this difficult time. Remember the good times for I know there were many. I will !
