Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Friday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ruth was born July 21, 1929, in Dallas. She was a longtime Arlington resident and moved from Arlington to Dallas in July 2002, and still owned a home in Arlington. She was a longtime member of Oak Cliff Assembly of God Church. Ruth taught teen-agers of the church for over 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne January, Farold January and Lawrence January.
Survivors: Husband of 54 years, Robert G. "Bob" Landers of Dallas; son, Stephen Landers and wife, Cheryl, of Dallas; granddaughter, Oliva Landers; brothers, Spencer January of DeSoto and C.H. January; and sister, Shirley Feidler of DeSoto.
