Burleson, Texas - Shellia Gail Hasty, 72, of Burleson, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday, February 11, 2022 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave, in Burleson. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Shellia was born August 28, 1949, in Laurel, Mississippi to Jessie and Ruth Snellgrove. She married Danny Hasty on June 15, 1967 in Fort Worth and they were happily married for 54 years. Her world revolved around being a wife and a mother, and she took great pride in it. She loved to go on road trips with her family. Shellia wouldn't hang up the phone without saying "See you later Alligator" and she would wait for you to say "After while Crocodile" before she would hang up.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Hasty; parents, Jessie and Ruth Snellgrove; and sister, Jesse Lawanda Snellgrove.
Shellia is survived by her sons, Kevin W. Hasty, Korey W. Hasty and wife, Shirley, and Chase W. Hasty; brother, Jimmy Wayne Sanders and wife, Juanita; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
