Stacey Lynn Furiak passed away peacefully on January 22, 2013 from a tragic fall resulting in her death. She was born in Everett on February 18, 1966. Her parents are Al Furiak and Cheryl and Carl Winsor.
Stacey attended Marysville Pilchuck High School for her Sophomore year before transferring to Everett High School where she graduated in 1984. Stacey also served in the United States Marine Corps from 1989 to 1993. In her time with the Corps, she lived in Iwakuni, Japan before moving to Twenty Nine Palms, CA to begin her family.
Stacey volunteered and worked with Harold Pyatte at the Everett Merchant baseball games, helping out in the concession stands and watching the games. Stacey also loved anything UW Husky and loved to watch the football and basketball games with her dad.
Stacey loved family get togethers and making some of her favorite dishes. She was a great cook. Stacey also did a terrific job caring for her aunt, Donna Furiak last year when she was terminally ill with cancer. What a Godsend it was to have her there to take care of AD (Aunt Donna).
She loved and adored her children, Jordan, 21, and Chelsey, 18, so very much and was so proud of them. Jordan joined the United States Marine Corps following in his mother and father's footsteps. She was also very proud of her daughter, Chelsey, who is a cheerleader and attends high school in North Carolina.
Besides her parents, Stacey is survived by her brother, Daniel Furiak (Sherri); sister, Mikel (Chris) Thomas; a large extended family, Trisha Carmack, Kris Green, Stephanie Armstrong and Steve Wilde; many nieces and nephews including, Jacob Thomas, Alec, Ryan and Kyle Furiak; devoted aunts, Joan Nelson and Joanne Davis; and numerous cousins.
Stacey will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. She was a caring, funny and loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. We will cherish our memories and fun times we have shared with her. She will always be in our hearts and prayers. Stacey would always leave and give you a BIG hug and say "I Love You".
Funeral services will be held at Hope Church at Silver Lake, 11329 23rd Drive SE, Everett on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church.
