Sunny Griffin Obituary

Sunny Leigh Griffin, 21, a legal secretary, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001, in Euless.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Bowie. Burial: Elmwood Cemetery.

Memorials: Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1600 N. Jefferson St., Bowie 76230.

Sunny Leigh Griffin was born Feb. 16, 1980, in Dallas. She grew up in Bowie, graduating from Bowie High School in 1998, and moved to Denton, where she had lived and worked for the last three and a half years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bowie.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Wincy and Cora Bell Sanders; and grandfather, Beno Collins.

Survivors: Parents, David and Bena Ann Fincher of Bowie and Jerry and Jill Griffin of Wichita Falls; sisters, Hayley Griffin of College Station and Alex Griffin of Wichita Falls; grandparents, Mrs. Ann Collins of Bowie and Alex and Mary Griffin of Bowie; godmother, Rhonda DeArman Kendall; special Great Aunt "D"; uncles and aunts, Tom and Jennifer Collins of Chicago, Ill. and Joe and Susan Griffin of Henrietta; cousins, Robby Collins of Champagne, Ill., Todd Collins of Denton, Ty Collins of Chicago, Tristant Collins of Chicago, Trayton Collins of Chicago, and Justin Griffin of Wichita Falls.
