Fort Worth, Texas - Thomas Madison Bruton Jr. entered rest on August 11, 2022. Memorial Service: 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church 522 Missouri Avenue. Thomas was a retired educator for the Fort Worth Independent School District, and longtime member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his son Kevin Bruton (Andrea); daughter Tholma Bruton; granddaughter, Brittany Smith; a host of other relatives and friends.

Just learned of the passing of Mr. Thom Bruton. One of the greatest and sweetest men I have known. I know you are joyous to be reunited with your sweetheart, Ms. Alma who is lovingly remembered. Knowing this eases my sadness. Sending my deepest condolences to Bruton (Kev), Missy, each family member, friends and students. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May the peace, comfort and strength of our Father be yours.

So sorry to hear. Mr. Bruton was one of my fourth grade teachers. He was both kind and stern and I learned a lot that year. And helped inspire me to be a teacher.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mr. Bruton was my 4th-grade teacher (all-time favorite teacher) called me on Christmas day to thank me for a gift I gave him. I never forgot that.
