So sorry for the late condolences. We only met Tommy once, but he left an impression - like he was family. His name has been brought up from time to time since 1994. What a great guy! sums it all up.

As Chief Mechanical Inspector for the City of Fort Worth, Tommy was very good and fair to me, a contractor. Folks like him are hard to find and a jewel and a blessing when you do. Thanks for being a mentor to me and not "hammering" me for being a knothead contractor. I learned a lot from you. Thanks, Tommy. See you in heaven.

Dear Carol, It will be the little things that you will remember, the quite moments,the smiles,the laughter. And although it may seem hard now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. I am so sorry for your loss.

Tommy, I write to you for I know you are still alive, you are in Heaven. I was once told that death here was like a ship leaving port and all you family and friends wave good bye as you shrink to nothing in the distance...and just when we can no longer see you, the family and friends from the opposite shore see you approaching and are waving and shouting because you are home.I know you must be so happy right now, but your family here hurts and misses you. Trey will miss you terribly, BUT WE WILL SEE YOU SOON.

Carol, we want to extend our most sincere sympathy and prayers to you and your family. I consider it an honor to have known Tommy. His zeal for life and commitment to the "Band Kids" was and is a true description of a Big Man. Kind simply does not describe Tommy. He was a true inspiration to everyone he met. He will be sorely missed and often remembered.

Please accept our sympathy and support of your family's loss. We pray for Tommy and our brother Tank Shearman to meet again and share their great memories. One that always made us laugh was the story of Tommy and Chip trying to teach Franklin how to swim at Casino Beach.

Adding my prayers to the countless others whose lives were touched so profoundly by such a beautiful human being. I met Tommy in 1974, when we lived down the street from his family. He always held a very special place in my heart and I will never forget his smile and gentle ways. I am saddened deeply at his passing and am wrapping his loved ones in prayers and love, hugs and strength. God Bless you and yours Tommy.

Carol & family;
I know you are going to think this is crazy, but when I thought about Tommy leaving this world, I had to think about Carl greeting him as he arrived in heaven and saying "Hey good buddy, it's good to see you, but why did you come up so early?" I can just envision them two laughing together and Carl showing him all around. Hang on to the good memories. You have my sympathy and I know this is hard right now, just know one day you will see him again. Our God assures us of this. Debbie Crawford- Carl's sister.
