Roy was born Aug. 1, 1945, in Omaha. He was a resident of Arlington for 32 years and a member of All Nations Church. Roy was self-employed and was CEO of Texas Cargo Marketing. His favorite delights in life were his wife, children and grandchildren. He often said family is everything there is to life. He was one in a million, loved by many and cherished by all. Everybody knew Roy for his sense of humor; no one could make a person laugh like Roy could. He was and still is the light of his children's lives and the best friend his wife could ever ask for.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one granddaughter, Hadley.
Survivors: Wife, Jo Nell Pegues of Arlington; daughters, Shelley Baldwin and husband, Jeff, of Grapevine, Mandy Buck and husband, Rohan, of Euless and Rachel Vidaurri and husband, Travis, of Austin; son, Vernon Roy Pegues Jr. of Arlington; brothers, Harold Pegues of Hugo, Okla., and Dearl Pegues of Dangerfield; and grandchildren, Chandley, Crue and Elijah.

To my precious Pegues Family:
Roy was a delightful, upbeat and charismatic man! I am BLESSED to have known him and tremendously thankful for the support he and Jolly showed me while in school a few years ago.
My heart is heavy for you today, knowing that a wonderful husband, father, grandfather...and friend is gone. Yet, I rejoice in knowing he is laughing and sharing stories with our Lord Jesus.
May each of you experience the unwavering peace and glorious love of God at this time.
I love you all so much!
