Adamo Raphael Carfagna

CARFAGNA Adamo Raphael Carfagna, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 19th, 2005 at Crown Pointe Care Center. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War ll, achieving the rank of Staff Sargent. Adam was the owner/partner of the Carfagna Markets. He was one of the original members of the American Italian Golf Association and a member of the Aurora Club, Abruzzi Club, GAC and a lifetime member of the St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Maria, sister Lucia Trovato and brother-in-law Vince Militello. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Antoinette (Quaranto); children, Gino (Shebah), Chris, Adam (Diana); grandchildren, Dante, Damon, Nicolino, Christian, Elissa and Gino; great-grandchild, Caden; sister, Phyllis Militello, Edward (Cecilia); sister, Mary Jean (James) Cockerell; brothers-in-law, Vince Trovato and Bruno (Mary) Quaranto; and sisters-in-law, Judy Bonaventura and Lilly Penzone. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his Friday Night Poker Buddies. Friends may call Sunday, April 24th, 2005 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 2-8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8 p.m. All Club Services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, April 25th, 2005 at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street, Columbus, Ohio. Rev. Fr. William A. Metzger, Celebrant and Msgr. Mario Serraglio and Msgr. Romano Ciotola, Con celebrating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio.
