Alan Ayres Obituary

AYRES Alan Lewis Ayres, age 72, Tuesday, August 9, 2005. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra; sons, Christopher (Jacquelyn), Kevin; sister, Mildred Cunningham; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alison; and many nieces and nephews. Born in Syracuse, NY, March 25, 1933, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and in the Army Reserves. He was a dedicated alumnus and graduate of Syracuse University (1960). Throughout his career he held positions in Advertising and Marketing in New York State and Central Ohio. He established and retired from Ayres Marketing Services. Most recently, he was a Starter at Jefferson Country Club. Alan was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church. Friends and loved ones may visit with his family at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio at 10 a.m. until noon, Saturday, August 13. A memorial service will be held at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Foundation (www.livestrong.org), The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (www.komen.org) or the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church (www.rumc.org). Arrangements made by COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

One of the sweetest, kindest man we ever knew. So very happy we got to spend their 47th Wedding Anniversary with he and lovely wife, Sandy, July 12th. He will be sadly missed.
