Alan Theodore Durst

DURST Alan Theodore Durst, age 71, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born, April 23, 1940 in Cleveland, OH. Alan grew up in Jefferson, OH. and he attended Jefferson High School, Kent State University at Ashtabula, and The Ohio State University Law School. Alan practiced law in Columbus, Ohio for 46 years. Alan is survived by his loving and beloved wife, Linda Durst; his elder son and law partner, Nathan Anthony Durst; his younger son, Christopher William Durst, his wife, Victoria, and their three children, Julia, Niall, and Nicole; his step-daughter, Heidi Stringer, her husband, Tracy, and their children, Ethan and Gabriella; his step-daughter, Stephanie Hudson, her husband, Rand, and their children, Sophia, Connor, and Colton; his step-daughter, Stacey Stanley, her husband, Beau, and their children, Isaiah and Simon; his brothers, Neil Dunford, and his children, Kathy and Debbie, and Gary Durst and his wife, Karen, and their children, Mark, Robert and Suzanne; and his sister, Diane Trivison, her husband, Tip, and their children, Rick, Lisa and Patrick; and his niece, Kim Neill. He was preceded in death by his parents Philip Henry and Billie Durst, and his brothers Noel Dunford and Philip Durst. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, where a memorial service will be held following visitation at 4 p.m. with Pastor Bob McGhee, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Helping Hands Center for Special Needs, a school for children with Autism or other developmental needs.
