My son Brady and I were stunned to hear about Andy. I have worked with him for years, all the way back to the 80's, getting uniforms and equipment for various baseball teams I've been involved with. Andy made the less than enjoyable process of uniforms and fittings fun. It was an added bonus when Andy coached in Gahanna with and against us. What a great, positive coach of young men. He was so enjoyable to be around. Clearly a huge loss. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

I just want to take this time to offer my condolences to Drew's family. To Gina, his beloved girlfriend, children, grandchildren and the rest of the family, my deepest sympathy. Drew was a great guy who took over WCBC Bingo and who was always concerned about his promise to Karl to keep the ball rolling. Well, now that they are both in heaven looking down at the new folks that will be running the WCBC bingo, I hope that they will take pride in everything that Andy and Karl worked hard for over the years. To Gina, he's looking at you kid! He loves you and his kids - always proudly announcing how happy he was for having you as his girlfriend and how proud he was of his kids.

So beyond belief. Plain as day I can see Andy behind the Bingo counter grabbing his gold cross necklace and saying "I pray everyday to have another - God keeps watching over me". During our conversations of sharing our ups and downs, Andy ALWAYS said that at some point in our conversations. He was SO proud of children and Gina. He bragged all the time. You where ALL the highlight of his life. R.I.P. my friend, prayers are out to your family!

This was such a shock overwhelming . It reminds us to be good to one another ,tell our loved ones we love them everyday. Andrew told me this not long ago and that he wasn't afraid to go. It's just a terrible thing that it happen so soon. You never even had to ask how Gina was he always showed me some of the text (sorry Gina) it was only to brag how much you loved each other. Andy was a funny guy and a loving guy, who loved his parents, his children and the love of his life as he said soooo many times. My heart and prayers go out to Gina and his family. May the memories help to heal your hearts. And I can honestly say Bingo will never be the same , not for me. Andy-Roo u will be truly missed.....God Bless all of you who loved him....

I was so saddened to hear of Andy's passing. In high school, I used to look forward to seeing that mischievous grin of his in a lot of classes (because of the spelling of our last names, we usually sat close to each other), and giggling about whatever made us laugh that day--so much so that our desks were moved and we were separated to shut us up! I remember Andy fondly and wish peace to his family and friends during this most difficult time. Rest in peace, Andy. Keep smiling...

I just found out yesterday of my friend Andy's passing. I had to sit down and in shock and disbelief. Andy was full of joy and laughter. I have known Andy since 1995 and his infectious laugh made my day every time I seen him which was on Friday and Sunday and the Bingo Hall. His love and support of the WCBC will be greatly missed. I will miss his smile and his ever lasting friendship. My thoughts and Prayers are with his family. I am so sorry and saddened about the loss of a great man. The Dublin Community has lost a wonderful person, Andrew DeFranco. For all that knew him, he was full of life, fun and wit. A great colleague, coach, friend, a very proud father and mentor to many. Andrew will be truly missed by all the lives he touched. I will mostly miss him bursting in our door saying, "Give me a hug" to anyone that was close by. RIP my friend.
I hope you are the star quarterback again in heaven. To all his family- hold tight to your memories and good times. They will pull you through. Sending "Andrew hugs" your way.
