Nikki...Wow I just found out today that you went home with our Lord and your mother. I love you so....I'm in shock right now. I remember you as a toddler and watched you grow into a beautiful young woman. Rest my precious niece. See you and Bren when I get there.

I never shared the connection with my own natural sisters that I shared with you Nikki. My leaving for Atlanta created a rift in our friendship but never did my love for you EVER fade. You helped me raise kids, endure the strains of the ghetto and to rise to a place of pride and self sufficiency with your support and love. People on the outside saw you as a tough cookie but I knew the soft heart that you wore behind that armor and feel honored to be listed among those that knew you well and loved you! Rest well my dear friend. My heart will eternally bear the scar of the wound created by your passing. Watch over us from heaven and tell my momma "hey"! She liked you....
