Anthony Latham Obituary

LATHAM Anthony "Tony" Raymond Latham, passed away rested in the arms of our Lord surrounded by all those who loved him deeply on February 23, 2012. Tony was born on August 26, 1959 and during his lifetime he has touched our lives and was a blessing to us all; his presence in our life is a gift and he will be fondly missed by all. Tony is preceded in death by son Itiba Meadows, father James E. Latham, Sr., and long-time friend Brenda Elmore. Tony is survived by his mother, Katherine Latham; grandson, Jerrell Barrett; siblings, LaNell (Lee) Hannah, James (Ursline) Latham, Brenda (Richard Neely) McClendon, Larry Latham, Michael (Delania) Latham, Kevin (Tammy) Latham, and Karen Turner. Visitation 10 a.m. and Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 Sunbury Rd. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery. To Sister Katherine, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Tony. If my nephew Ronald hadn't called me and ask if I remember Tony Latham I would have never known. I remember him being at my sister Mary Lou's house. I remember when I visit you in the Terrace how he was always helping you with the children and keeping your house in tack. For a my longtime friend, and brother in law,

My heart is sad that you went away, however it was a bittersweet day. What I have to hold on to is that you were a great friend and the best uncle too!

I thank God for just for knowing you! Yea, you got on my nerves sometime, however I will cherish all of the fun times.

I am sad my earthy angel went away, however God has the final say, and he needed his angel by his side, and when I think of God's request yes, it makes me cry.
