Antonio Scali Obituary
Antonio Scali, age 83, passed away Friday March 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family after a heroic battle with Alzheimer's. He immigrated with his family from Cinquefrondi Italy in the Province of Reggio Calabria in 1971. After retiring from painting after 25 years, he became known as the ravioli maker "Papa Scali" at Scali Ristorante. Preceded in death by parents Francesco and Angela, siblings Michele, Carterina, Francesca and Edouardo, all in Italy, brothers-in-law Giuseppe and Michele Cordi. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Maria (Cordi) Scali; son, Francesco (Judy); daughter, Angela; grandsons, Antonio and Michael; brothers-in-law, Angelo (Carole) Cordi and Tony (Donna) Cordi; sisters-in-law, Rosa (Michele) Auddino, Luciana (Enrico) Cordiano, Concetta Cordi, Lina Cordi, Margherita Scali, Immacolata Scali; many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and in Italy. Family will receive friends Tuesday 3-9pm at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St. Rosary 6pm Tuesday. Family and friends will meet for Mass of Christian Burial 11am Wednesday at St. Pius X Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd, Reynoldsburg, where friends and family may gather from 10-11am. Msgr. David Funk and Msgr. Mario Serraglio, concelebrants. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery. The Scali family would like to extend a special thank you to those at Mt. Carmel East Hospice.
