BEER Barbara Lee Beer, 76, formally of Worthington, OH, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2010, in Tucson, AZ, after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. She grew up in Delaware, OH, where she attended Willis High School. She then attended the Ohio State University College of Nursing, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1955. She met and married Robert Lewis Beer in 1954, and eventually settled down in Worthington, OH, where she raised her family. She worked as a nurse until her retirement. Barbara loved to travel and garden but her true passion was reading. She and Robert moved to Tucson, AZ, in 1998. Barbara and Robert celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on September 11, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Kimberly Smith (Andy); son, Timothy (Nancy); grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Jennifer Smith, Evan Smith, Zoe Beer, and Alexander Beer. Mr. Beer, Kim, Tim and family: You have my thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Smith was a special lady - I'll always treasure the memories of hanging out at the Beer house. Your mom always made us feel like it was our home away from home. Godspeed!
