My Aunt Barbara...one of the most beautiful souls to have graced this earth. She was so special to us and she will be in our hearts forever. Her warm smile and her inclusive spirit, you always felt her love when around Aunt Barbara. She was a great comforter to my mom during her battle with cancer and they shared their love of gardening together. I'm sure God's garden will be all the more beautiful with both of them in heaven. I love you Aunt Barbara, we will miss you.
I express my deepest sympathy to her children, Ramon, Jay, Zacky, and Tasha, knowing first hand the incredible loss of a mother. My prayers are with you and your families and with Grandma, my aunts, and uncles, and to all Aunt Barbara touched. I so wished that I could be there. Hugs and kisses... Cindy and Family

Barb and I met at work (Ohio Dept. of Public Safety). We did not know that we had known each other's families for years. I did not remember meeting the mother of Ramon, Angela, Jay, Zack, and Tasha. I knew their grandmother, Ms. Kelley, because she was a customer on my paper route (I delivered the Columbus Dispatch when I was 14 years old). Barb brought in pictures of her five children. As I was looking at the photos, I turned to look at the last name on her work i.d. badge - OBEY. Oh my gosh, I know them! I know your kids! We grew up with your kids! We went to school together! We burst into laughter and immediately started reminiscing about the old neighborhood and the people.
Well, as we all know, time goes by; and if we are not careful, it slips away from us. I shamefully admit that I did not stay in touch with Barb like I should have. Now, here I sit at the time of God calling Barb home. I know that Barb is in a better place and suffers no more. I will remember her laugh, our talks together, and the time shared.
Tell the people you love that you do love them before you lose the chance to say it.
I love and miss you, Barb.
