Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Bitner Family know that we have made a small donation to the Special Forces Association to honor Benjamin F. Bitner US Army Master Sergeant. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals across the American youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

To Bitner's family and fellow comrades,
It's been 10 seemingly long years since we both attended and graduated the Q-Course together as 18Cs. You were one of the few true characters who I perceived to be an actual friend, and you will be missed. To your family and fellow SF comrades, my sincere condolences---RIP, Ben.
Sincerely, Bryant Daniels

Ben,
Even if I did not know you, you were still my brother. I lost my S.F Brothers in Vietnam 66-67 & 69-70; 3rd Chinese Nung Battalion, 3rd Corps Mike Force, 5th Special Forces Group,RVN. Just knowing that you are gone, brings a big "hurt" to my soul and a tear to my eyes. The feeling that you leave behind hurts me at this moment,
God Bless you, rest in peace.

Ben,
May you rest in peace. It was an honor to work with you. I will miss our chats that we had in the team room, the times that you would visit me in the office to tell me your "thoughts", or to just shoot the bull. You are a great American hero who will never be forgotten. I will see you on the other side... rest easy my friend...

Although we never had the opportunity to meet Ben, we feel like we knew him through his mother. We are very sorry for your loss and for the void this loss leaves in your family. We know you all were very proud of Ben as a husband, father, son, friend and soldier. Our gratitude for his years of service is more than we can put into words. May you find comfort in God, family, friends and the many special memories you hold dear to your heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .
I Salute You.

Please accept our condolences and our prayers that God in His faithfulness will sustain you in your great loss. Somehow I believe our paths crossed but we can't place where!
Our country has lost a true-blue American, husband & father and also we commend Roger & Beverly in raising a son that has brought pride to the whole family.
Maybe our paths have not crossed but we also lost a true patriot whom laid down his life for our peace and safety. God continue to bless all in your time of grieving.

No finer patriot. Selfless service. Best of role models. Our freedom exists because of men such as Master Sgt. Ben Bitner who develop skills and fine-tune strengths to such high caliber. You will indeed live on in those you trained, in your many friends and in your precious family who cherished you so.
