Bernice Ferguson Obituary

FERGUSON Bernice M. Ferguson, 84, of McArthur, passed away Friday, January 15, 2009 at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden. She was born May 18, 1925 in Columbus, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Hicks Fenton. Bernice was the widow of the late Thomas J. Ferguson Jr. She is survived by a son, Thomas Ferguson III of McArthur; daughters, Janice (Richard) Ferguson, Lisa (David) Kirby and Margaret (Roger) Pettet all of McArthur; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Bernice was preceded in death by two infant children, four brothers Wesley, William, James and Robert Fenton and two sisters Edith Arthur and Mary Jane. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in the GARRETT-CARDARAS FUNERAL HOME, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Interment will be in Madison Freewill Baptist Cemetery, Zaleski. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 p.m. Please sign her online guestbook at www.cardaras.com.

We are so sorry to find out of the passing of Bernice, it was a shock to vist the grave of carolyns brother and father and to see that your mother had passed away! We haven't been down to vist for a long time but was planning on to surprise bernice, again we are so sorry of the passing of your mother! Angelo and Carolyn

Dearest Tom, Janice,Lisa and Margaret. Marilyn told us the sad news that your Mom, Bernice, had passed.
