Bonnie Scott Obituary

SCOTT Bonnie J. Scott. A celebration of life service for Bonnie J. Scott, 83, will be held at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH, on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Frazeysburg Cemetery, Frazeysburg, OH, at 3 p.m. Bonnie passed away peacefully on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Arbors at London Skilled Nursing Center with her loving Husband and family by her side. Bonnie was born on April 13, 1927 in Hanover, OH to the late Alvin George and Blanche Irene (Miller) Middlemus. She graduated from Warsaw High School class of '45 and later married Mr. Olas L. Scott Sr. on February 24, 1957, and they celebrated over 53 years together. In 1971 Bonnie and Olas moved to Columbus and began attending the Karl Rd. Christian Church, and they have been members ever since. A career Administrative Assistant, Bonnie was self defined as a Mom first. She loved her Husband and Children, and they were number one in her life, She enjoyed traveling, camping, and a game or two of putt putt with her grand children, she was always happiest when her family was close by. She touched many lives with her Christian faith and walk. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Along with her husband Olas, Bonnie is also survived by her children, Brenda L. (John) Finfgeld of Dublin, Olas L. (Gil Hagans) Scott Jr. of GA, Mark A. Scott of Columbus, Karen S. Scott of Dublin; grandchildren, Jeffrey M. (Erin) Scott of GA; great- grandchildren, Kate, Samantha, Jeffrey Jr., all of GA. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents and one son Brent Scott, sisters Frances Tyrer, Marjorie Middlemus, brothers Donald and Carl Middlemus, grandson Thomas A. Scott. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association in her honor. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. Visit www.schoedinger.com to share a story about Bonnie or to sign an online guest book.

Bonnie was one of those Kissing Cousins. We had so much fun together especially at the Rector Reunions. She will indeed be greatly missed. So many good memories I have with Bonnie, not only as a cousin but a dear friend.
