Dear Gina & Family:
I just received your email about the death of your father. Knowing you as I did, your heart must be broken. There is no describing the loss of a father; as it has been nearly 2 years since Daddy died. My memory of your father is frozen in time, since leaving Westerville 36 years ago. I spent a lot of time at your house, as a teenager and your parents were such good role-models. They always had so much fun together and they adored each other.

Ceil, I just want to offer my condolences. I just heard about Carl's passing. I will always remember the wonderful times we had together at Candlewood and in Florida while visiting. You and your family have wonderful memories and thoughts left to remember a dear husband and father.

I am so sorry I missed Carl's passing. I am so glad I got to visit with you last year or so. You are both special to our family. I had a minor problem and just got out of Riverside on June 5th. I still work 4 days a week, and don't always get to read the paper. None of my family called me to tell me or we certainly would have been there. Ceil & "girls". We loved Carl just like an uncle. He was such a character, a strong, proud man. We had alot of fun out here in Arizona. We already miss him. But we will think of him often and toast a glass of red wine in his memory : )

I would'nt know where to start... I worked for Carl in 1987 ,to 2000 Columbus , Ohio. Just a girl from the beach. I did'nt know anything much about Heavy Highway construction. After we got to know each other from working on his crew's, we hit it off. I liked the people that worked for him at CCG so much they were a great! May have been some of the best people I had run across in all my travels. They took me under there wings and showed me how to run heavy equipment and get the job done. My favorite quote from Carl was "I don't care what you say you just make sure your right".
I enjoyed seeing him come up to the job site ( it scared alot of people) I liked talking to him. Over the years we goto know each other alot better. Carl, helped me so much with my faimly business, then to estate. There is'nt anyway, I could have anything ,I have now, or be more greatful to him and the people at CCG. He truly saved my farm , to this day I still have it , only for his great help , pay , and advice. He had to be the most intelligent person I have ever met. He will be truly missed by myself and daughter, James Barns Sr. , Jessie Dawson , and everyone that worked for him.

I received the news today about your father. I'm so sorry, although I never knew him, I'm sure her was grand, because, you, are a class act and I'm sure that reflects your parents. May he rest in peace and let prepetual light shine upon him, for he is in a better place.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ceil and to the family. We will certainly miss Carl up at Candlewood Lake. We've all had lots of good times with him. He fought a courageous battle.

I don't know where to begin with sharing the wonderful childhood memories of Patti Drive and Patti Court. The block parties, New Years Eve, New Years Day...these memories formed who am I today. My parents, our neighbors parents and the Guzzo's always enjoyed sharing time with each other through wonderful parties while us kids entertained ourselves. I doubt that any of our parents ever knew that we had just about as much fun as you adults did. I remember visiting Grandma Guzzo next door and Mrs. Paige, teaching us to play the piano. Mr. Guzzo, you were part of the memories of my childhood that I cherish and I wish you Godspeed. Mrs. Guzzo and girls, thank you for sharing your never ending joy and unconditional love with me and my family. My love, blessings and prayers to you all....Love, Marcia Adcox
