Cary Reichard Obituary

REICHARD Cary Myron Reichard, age 57, died on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Blanchard Valley Center for MRDD, Findlay, Ohio from a lifetime battle with Cerebral Palsy and recently a courageous battle with Cancer. He lived after the death of his parents with his grandparents, C'C' and Susie O'Briant of Kenton, Ohio. Cary lived and worked at the Blanchard Valley School for MRDD since 1988. He is survived by his brother, Larry L. (Sue) Reichard of Columbus and nephews, Brandon and Nicholas Reichard of Hilliard, Ohio. Cary was preceded in death by his mother Vivian L Reichard (O'Briant), father Myron L Reichard of Columbus and his beloved grandparents. Cary was an avid fan of John Wayne. He knew and memorized each movie, word for word. He enjoyed traveling with the staff at Blanchard Valley, drinking his favorite beverage, Coca-Cola and visits with his brother's family. Visitation will be held at the COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay, Ohio from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007. A short graveside service will follow at Grove Cemetery, 15419 SR 309, Kenton, Ohio at approx 3 p.m. with Pastor Rick Humphreys, of First Assembly of God, officiating. A special thanks to the staff at BVRC for there loving treatment of Cary and Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Blanchard Valley Residential Center, Findlay, Ohio 45840 in memory of Cary. Condolences can be made at www.coldrencrates.com.
