My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Ms. Catherine Rosenbaum, one of the best teachers Jefferson High School ever had. After my Mother passed at the beginning of my senior year in high school, she unexpectedly came to my house one evening in October 1981. She told me that she had lots of respect for my Mother and in honor of her she was going to make sure I graduated. She tutored me at no charge and encouraged me to put on paper my thoughts and feelings about any and everything. Her guidance and love will NEVER be forgotten, and on June 2, 1982, I PROUDLY walked across the stage at Memorial Hall with my fellow classmates. Some may not have understood her and thought she was too strict, but I both love and respect that she looked out for me and countless others throughout the years. RIP, Ms. Rosenbaum.
