Christine McNett Obituary

McNETT Christine A. McNett, age 91, of Sunbury, died Monday morning at Edgewood Manor in Westerville. Born May 30, 1920 in Sunbury to the late George and Evalena (Barber) Walker. A homemaker and member Vans Valley Community Church and attended Word of Grace Fellowship. Family was very important to Christine and she had a great love for her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. Christine will be remembered for her fried chicken dinner, homemade pies, and dinner rolls. Christine was feisty in her younger years and always had a smile. Survived by her daughters, Donna Jean (Don Tutorow) Laughlin of Mount Vernon , Linda (Jerry) Pullins of Sunbury, Diana (Jim) Thorpe of Centerburg; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; niece, Betty Jean (Charles) Rodgers of Reynoldsburg; cousins; good friend, Louree Timms of Reynoldsburg. Preceded by her husband Donald O. McNett on April 12, 1974, son-in-law Harry Laughlin on February 19, 2004. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. Pastor Bob Neal officiating. Interment Cheshire Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of Donor's Choice. Condolences may be expressed at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
