Mrs Slone was highly thought of by my son, David and myself. Our prayers go out to the family. She was deeply loved and will be missed.

We are so sad to hear of the death of Mrs. Slone. Our children attended Fairwood ES (Room 108) and were very fortunate to have Mrs. Slone as the teacher to begin their learning experience. Jerry, I just learned of Connie's death from my brother Jim. Words cannot express the saddness Jim, Karen and I feel. We all grew up together on Blacklog, and I roomed with her for two years at Morehead. We had not seen each other for a while, but we have so many beautiful memories that will stay with us always. I taught with Connie at Koebel Elementary School. She was a delight to work with and she was a very good teacher! I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
