In the few years I've known Darrell it became obvious to me that this man loved his family and his children. He also loved what he did which was caring for those with special needs, teaching and coaching. I'll miss our talks. (Life was too short for you my friend.) May God bless Tonya, the McDade family and friends with fond memories of a fine man.

Someone once told me that the purpose of a coach isn't to win 200 games or to groom the perfect players. Its to make the sport so much fun that the athletes come back, year after year, and the next generation of coaches can pick up where you left off. Coach McDade, you made football fun. You made us all want to come back for one more hit, one more touchdown. I promise, we will pick-up where you left off. We love you.

I'm saddened to hear of another Classmate and Teammate who has died. It's great to hear that Darrell did so well in life; a wife, five children and paying back to the community from which he came, well done! May all your children follow your fine example.
Sincerely
Tim Monfort (71) 86'

My husband and I knew Darrell through his friend, Mike and Tawana Thorn. We would like to express our deepest sympathies to his family during this time. I know he was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and I truly believe they have an angel helping them this year. Take Care and God Bless.
