Smith Donald "Don" L. Smith Jr., 65, of Dresden, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born on October 9, 1948 in Lorain Ohio the son of the late Donald L. Sr. and Margaret (Falcon) Smith. Don was an Vietnam Army Veteran, loved nature photography, his horses, hunting, fishing and hiking. He also skydived and was an excellent marksman. He is survived by his wife, Martha Jane (Oldham) Smith of the home; his sister, Diana; his son, Bradford; and his daughter, Allison. Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the BRYAN & HARDWICK FUNERAL HOME with a celebration of life service and military honors to immediately follow at 3 p.m. The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave., Zanesville is in charge of the arrangements.
