My Precious Pooh Pooh,
I miss you so much, pretty difficult time for me right now - the holidays are always tough. I miss getting together at the house with all your delicious food, daddy on the sofa watching the games, all the siblings & their children all gathered around together - I miss you all so much. I know you all are resting from your labor and I thank God for that, but my heart is oh so heavy. Thank you all for teaching us about the power of almighty God and His peace. I choose to live in perfect peace each day I wake up so that no matter what my day may bring, it won't dictate my response. I love and miss you all so very much. My Darling "Gurnian":

I remember the last birthday that we were able to share. Just thinking about it brings tears because I miss you so very much. I love you and my Daddy ... you are God's special gifts to me. Now you are together with Jesus and that makes me happy. You are still my role model and I teach the songs that you wrote everywhere I go. You truly left me so much ... JESUS, the "Brown Family" Name, and lots of love to give. I thank God for you ... I'm going to make it because of you and your prayers, and the spiritual principles you placed in me. You have my heart always. Oh..the other Crumbsnatcher still don't know what the 8 kisses mean (teeheehee). Love always and forever..Crumbsnatcher #1...Bunny.

I miss you sooo much "My Precious Pooh Pooh"..... tomorrow we would have celebrated "YOUR BIRTHDAY" together. I love and miss you all so much. The pain grips my heart so intensely, but I just thank God for His enabling power to help get me through such a difficult journey. I continue to try to put those Godly principles you and Daddy poured into us..all so powerful
...that continue to provide solid footing for me every day. Without God, the God you all always taught us about and lead by example, without Him I couldn't do this. As much as I miss you all, I'm somewhat relieved that you don't have to be here. This world is so cruel, so much senseless murder, all kinds of crime, home invasions where they target our seasoned citizens, it's a crying shame. Ma Ma,
I miss you a lot and your always on my mind. I remember when we had our last thanksgiving with you in november '05. That was when you played the piano while you, me and LaQuan(Quani) sang "Mary Had a Little Lamb" together.
And I remember when you directed the Ebenet Sunbeams Choir at Ebenezer. I loved singing with you because you always brought out the best in me!
"mary had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb". "Mary had a litlle lamb whos fleece was white as snow".

I love you Ma Ma,

Mommy, I miss you so very much, my heart is so heavy, everyday I wake up, it aches, it's like a piercing in the heart that, a constant jab that at times takes my very breath away. I am so very grateful to God that He loaned you to us for 76 years - some families didn't have 76 days. With the help of almighty God, I try to focus on, and cherish all of my precious memories, I'm trying to build upon all of the wonderful principles you and Daddy laid within us, and I count all of our blessings. With God all things are possible because without Him, I couldn't take this. There's a song BB & CC Winans sang, "I'm Lost without you"...my sentiments exactly. I love you and miss you so much, my sweet "Pooh Pooh".... my precious baby girl.....

To our Family and friends. We do sincerely apoplogize for the brief period this guestbook was not online. This will never happen again as it is now on permanently. We always want you to feel free to share your thoughts about our dear mother. Your kind and encouraging words are such an inspiration to us. We greatly appreciate all acts of kindness extended to us during what was, and continues to be, a most difficult time in our lives. For those of you who still have your mother & father, stay real close to them & don't take their presence for granted, love on them, take care of them, respect them while you have them in your lives. You only get one chance at this. I want to thank God for His divine strength and for how He yet empowers us to journey on. Thank you for your continued support & prayers. Hello,
I'm One of Doris' great-grand children Ariana(Bunny). If I never knew anything about my great-grandma I knew that she was loving, caring and was always very kind.I know one thing,Ma ma never made anybody mad... everybody was always glad to see her. She was a lovely person. Ma ma was dedicated to every thing she did. The good thing is that she passed away being a Christian... and to me that's the best way to pass away. I know that we can't see her right now but there will be a time when we wake up in the morning and see her once again...and she'll be as loving as she was before.
I love you Ma ma,

Father,in the name of Jesus, we approach
Your throne of grace, bringing before You our friends and love ones who are suffering.
We recognize that grieving is a human emotion process, and we give them the space that they need to enter into the rest that they need to enter in to the rest that You have for them.
Lord,Jesus bore our grief's (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains;know that Your Spirit is upon Jesus to bind up and heal our broken hearts. May we be gentle to ourselves, knowing that you are not alone in your grief.Lord we know you are with all of us,and we want the ( Brown) family to know that they are not alone in their grief.Lord, you are with us, and you will never leave us without support.
Lord, give my family and the seeds of (" Momie" Brown's),friends and prayer partners, discernment, sympathy, and understaning, and understanding so that we may bear (endure, carry)our broken hearts and our burden of loss.We trust You to guide us and we respect the decisions awaiting the manifestation of your of Your healing.
Father, we desire to be doers of Your Word, and not hearers only. Therefore,we make a commitment to rejoice with those who rejoice[sharing others'joy],and to weep with those who weep [ sharing others'grief].We pray that our love of many years for one another will give great joy and comfort and, encouragement to Momie Browns family and the Preston-Glenn family.
Thank You,Father, for sending the Holy Spirit to comfort each of us, counsel, help intercede, defend, strengthen, and stand by us in this time of grief and sorrow.
In Jsus name, amen.
Momie Brown I can see that you have "NaNa" singing in God's choir and you are making the keys on the heavenly piano stand tall as "Na Na" is belting out clearly "Standing In The Need Of A Blessing".

How can I say “Thanks” For all the things he has done for me…Things undeserved and yet you proved your love for me, the voices of a million angels cannot express my gratitude…. All that I am or ever hope to be…I owe it all to thee…I am truly honored and I count it a privilege just knowing such a great woman of God, and to have received the blessings of working right along side of her for many, many years, I AM SO GRATEFUL. I believe that God has shown me favor, you see the gift given me, Mrs. Brown helped develop, to make it strong, and when I sing, to give all that he has given me. Whatever she asked of me my response was always “Yes Mam” and today I have NO REGRETS. I was able to serve with great respect, admiration and much love. In face of her constant courage, her unshakeable faith, her inner strength, and quiet grace, my life is enriched and yes, I am wealthy. I’m praying for you Bunny, Snookie, Cookie & and Candy. As your mother said to me when Brenda passed, I’m saying to you now, I asked God to strengthen and to comfort all of you. Please pray for me as well. My last words to her not long before she passed were “I love you” and her response to me was “I love you too”, she knew it was me, her Sissy Pooh Pooh! I LOVE YOU & GOD BLESS.

To the Brown family,

I was too young to remember alot of the great things Mother Brown had done in her life. But I do remember as a little girl the first time I met her an for some reason she seemed very regal. Not the way some first lady's act but just her presence when she entered the room, how people would immediately take notice, or how she would make you feel special when ALL of the kids were running up just to give her a hug. Now I am a woman. And because her subtle yet powerful impact on me, I know that there are real women of virtue, real women who God placed on this earth to teach us, the younger women how to conduct ourselves. To the daughters of Mother Brown. You may never meet me, or if and when we do meet, you may never know its me, but I am watching you, because you all carry the regal presence that Mother Brown carried, and when I look at you I will be learning the staues of a virtuous women.

Be Encouraged

Please know that you are in the prayers and thoughts of The Tabernacle of Glory Baptist Church. Though your hearts may be heavy, remember this one thing: when God created and designed your mother He created her not only for Himself, He created her for you. The memories you have are simply God's gift to you.

He did not promise you will have her physical being with you always, but her love will last through eternity. Let that love wipe away your tears and rejoice for your mother's destiny is now complete.
