When Doryce was a fourth grade teacher at Barrington Elementary School in Upper Arlington, I was a sixth grade teacher. I remember her as a gentle, caring person who found much joy in watching her students discover a love for learning. This obituary brilliantly captures the essence of her spirit, and the inclusion of a few lines of a favorite poem reflects her own love of learning. I regret that we did not maintain contact after our retirements, but I shall always remember our teaching years. May God bless you all.
