Elisabeth Bitterman Obituary

BITTERMAN Elisabeth Nelson Bitterman, Worthington, Oh., departed us on Thursday, March 10, 2005. Artist, businesswoman, editor, educator, jewelry maker, painter, sculptor, alumnus of Antioch University and the University of South Carolina, and much loved mother and friend. Born Hanna Greta Elisabeth Nelson (Nilsson), May 20, 1929 in Philadelphia, she enjoyed a rich life in the communities of Washington D.C., Los Angeles, metropolitan New York, Columbia (South Carolina), Indianapolis, Atlanta and Worthington. Survived by John Bitterman Barricks and their children, Sidne Buelow, Scott Nilsson and Eric Barricks; grandchildren, Ashley Barricks and Victoria Vatansever; great-grandson, Tevfik Vatansever; sister, Mathel Immella; brother, Kent Nilsson; and a large loving extended family who will all miss her greatly. Predeceased by her parents Nellie Mathilda Larsson Nilsson and Dage Constantine Nilsson, emigrants from Sweden. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the Franklin Park Conservatory, Palm Room at 1:30 p.m. Family and those who wish to join them will be at the conservatory beginning at 12Noon for personal remembrances. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Salvation Army Chapel at Worthington Woods, 714 Worthington Woods Blvd., Worthington, Oh. 43085 marked "In memory of Elisabeth Bitterman". Arrangements by the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 268-8811.
