Ella Wright Obituary

WRIGHT (MUSE) Ella Louise "Jerry" Muse Wright, age 89, of Columbus, died Sunday, September 4, 2005 at The Village at Westerville Nursing Center. Born May 23, 1916 in Stockport, Ohio and was raised on the Boy Scout Farm in Morgan County. She played Girls Basketball at Stockport High School where she graduated in 1934. Jerry was a longtime resident of Central Ohio working for the Post Office, Lazarus, Ranco Controls and later Gray Drug. She enjoyed bowling and traveling and spent many active retirement years in Florida. She is preceded in death by husband of 43 years William W. Wright, parents Leonard and Lesta (Cunningham) Muse, sisters Beulah Mendenhall, Mary Hanson and Maxine Morin, brothers Dale Muse and Hubert Muse. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, William L. and Sondra Wright of Pataskala, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Eloise W. and William Brockman of Sioux Falls, SD; granddaughter, Leah M. Brockman of Los Angeles, CA; step-daughter, Rozann (Chet) Bell; step-grandsons, Steve, Scott and David Bell and families; sister-in-law, Marjorie Muse; step-mother-in-law, Lagora Waggoner; numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Linworth United Methodist Church, 7070 Bent Tree Boulevard, Columbus with Rev. Gene Folden, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions in her memory be made to: Linworth UMC or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by: RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 2383 North High Street, Columbus.
