Eric Scott Hollobaugh

HOLLOBAUGH Eric Scott "Rick" Hollobaugh, born September 2, 1960, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 31st at his home in Westerville, Ohio. Eric was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, class of 1978 and he also studied Psychology at The Ohio State University. He was employed by the State of Ohio Taxation Division. He was a dedicated student of Tai Chi, a passionate athlete and boxer, an avid reader and a published cartoonist. Eric's true passion and talents resided in computing sports statistics and team ratings. Preceded in death by his parents Dr. Samuel Hollobaugh and Annette Ashbrooke-Hollobaugh. Survived by loving and devoted wife, Eleanor; son, Derek; daughter, Kari; step-children, Michael, Jonathan, and Jessica; brothers, Rand (Cindy) Hollobaugh and Robert (Linda) Hollobaugh; uncles, Dr. Richard (Peggy) Clary, Dennis (Nanci) Clary; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; his friend of 36 years, Don Hill; and his beloved cat, Katy. Eric will be remembered for his great heart and uplifting sense of humor. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. followed by a public service at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2012 at WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214.
