Fred Hatzer Obituary

Hatzer Fred Stuart Hatzer, age 62, a man who loved spending time with his family, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his residence. An avid Buckeye fan and fisherman, he was previously employed with Schottenstein Management Company. Preceded in death by parents Sheldon L. Hatzer and Cynthia Wilson, brother Sheldon E. Hatzer, sister Sandy Cantlebarry. Survived by wife of 43 years, Peggy; children, Sean (Melissa) Hatzer and Steve Hatzer; grandchildren, Heather, Nathan, Blake and Bryce; great grandson, Lincoln; sister, Shirley (Bob) Reinke; Brother, Scott (Teresa) Hatzer; brothers-in-law, Mike (Tracey) O'Neil and Pat (Beth) O'Neil; sisters-in-law, Helen (Scott) Carr and Teresa (Ryan) Harris; step mother, Norma Hatzer; beloved pets, Redd and Rudy; numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Sunday, 2-5 p.m., where service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday. Interment Sunset Cemetery.

Fred was a gentle, special and loving man, whom I will miss very much. It was a joy and privilege to be a part of his life. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Fred used to work with me at Schottenstein's He was a great worker and a friend. I was sad the day he left the company. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I'm praying for your family.
