1956 - 2018
Fredrick "Fred" Lee Wellman, passed away in St. Petersburg, Florida on October 1st, 2018 at the age of 62. Fred is predeceased by his parents Gordon E. (Gene) and Shirley Wellman and his sister Nancy Halleck. Fred is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Ruby Asbury (Arnie), Allie Meade (Ernie), Mary Wellman, Verna Register, Debbie Belflower, Velanda Wellman Simpson; and brothers, Gordon E. Wellman, Jr., Gordon J. Wellman (Karen), Kevin Wellman, and Mark Wellman (Dawn). Fred was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 16, 1956. He graduated from Watkins Memorial High School in 1974 and studied at OSU. He worked many years as a Customer Service Representative including Prudential Insurance AARP. He lived in many places Arizona, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida. His hobbies included bowling, spending time with his beloved dog Wiley. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially during the holidays. We will miss you Fred! A celebration of his life will be held at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio on November 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Gordon Flanagan officiating. Interment to follow at Oller Cemetery.
