HAYES Fredrick G. Hayes aka "Ricky". Sunrise March 23, 1959 - Sunset March 4, 2011, Grant Medical Center after a short illness. Graduate of South High School. Preceded in death by parents Oscar and Ruby (Darling) Hayes. Survived by significate other, loving companion of 35 years, Rosalynd; son, Fredrick G. Hayes Jr.; sisters, Kathy, Valerie, Tammy Hayes; nephews, Anthony Hayes and William Gamble; adopted mother, Virginia "Momma" Johnson; good friends, David (Marie) Johnson and family, Michael (Shirley) Mills, Gregg and Clarence (Jimmy) Watkins, Gwen, Harry Cummings, Florene Shipley and MIssy Martin. Homegoing celebration Saturday 10 a.m., Greater Liberty Temple (COGIC), 1132 Windsor Ave. Dr. Ronald Stewart officiating. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estates. Arrangements entrusted to CALIMAN FUNERAL SERVICES, 3700 Refugee Rd.

I was so sorry to hear of Fred's illness and passing. I will always remember him as the raspy talking guy who always had something good or funny to say to me when we talked about "school days". He was special to his sister's and his son. and I can't forget about Ros. His soul is ready and waiting. R.I.P.
