George G. Bilderback Jr.

Bilderback George G. Bilderback, Jr., of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Friendship Village Health Care Center where he received wonderful care. He was born to the late George and Marie Mestrovic Bilderback in Steubenville, OH on April 8, 1936 and he was raised in Weirton, WV. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 54 years, Jane Rhodes Bilderback; son, George III; granddaughter, Nuvea Bilderback; and sister, Patricia L. Rhodes of Weirton, WV. George graduated in 1953 from Follansbee High School, Follansbee,WV and attained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration at West Virginia University in 1957. Following two years of service in the U. S. Army Philadelphia Air Defense Command as a Commissioned Officer, he joined the Ohio Power Co. in 1960 in Steubenville, followed by assignments in the Personel Departments at Portsmouth, Coshocton and Canton, OH. In 1976 he transferred to New York City with American Electric Power where he was made Director of Human Resources of their Corporate Headquarters. He remained in that position following AEP's relocation to Columbus, OH in 1981 until his retirement in 1996. George was a member of Linworth United Methodist Church where he was active in several activities. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
