George Estes Obituary
George M. Estes, age 73, Sunday July 30, 2017 after a valiant fight with cancer passed peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family. George was a wonderful husband, father and Papa. He was a true family man, enjoyed his impeccable lawn and garden, was a master chef, and took pride in being able to fix anything with his own hands. Most importantly, the time, attention and love he showed his grandchildren will be forever remembered and greatly missed. Retired from Acutel Lucent. Vet. U.S. Navy. Member of St. Matthew the Apostle Church and the American Legion. Survived by wife of 52 years Emerita Tartal Estes; daughters Kathryn (Vince) Colburn, Stephanie (Michael) Estes Rose; son Thomas George Estes; the light of his life his grandchildren Chelsea, Amelia, Norah and Vivienne; sister Martha Dekin; sister-in-law Carol Estes; many other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In respect of George's wishes a Funeral Mass and Burial will be celebrated privately by the family at St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST.
