Glen it has been an honor to call you friend. I never knew how someone I had never met could impact my life the way you did. You were here for me after I lost my Mom last year to Cancer and everyday you made it a point to ask how I was doing and if I needed anything even though you were dealing with your own grief at having lost your own Mother a month before. You are truly an angel sent from Heaven Glen and I just wanted you to know how much I love and miss you!

You would be amazed at how much you have done for me and my sons Glen Nico Kramer.Although none of us have met you and I only had the opportunity to follow you in the last few months your words have had a significant impact in our lives. You see Glen my Sons lost their Mother to Pancreatic Cancer in June of 2012.Carrie was my ex wife and I am now our sons only parent.Like you she fought her battle well and like you she wasn't able to overcome the disease that had taken hold of her.Since that time I have struggled to find words that might help them understand.I have failed miserably on many occasions and only seemed to make things worse every time I said anything. There were many times I wanted to reply to your posts but felt my words of encouragement were empty and worthless so I would delete what I had typed.Who was I to offer any advice? How can a stranger comfort you? We share many friends. They are the people I have met in my life that I have the greatest respect for. They all look up to you.We are all suffering loss both for the man they knew and the man I didn't have the good fortune to know.Shortly after your move to hospice I read your post about living life to it's fullest. It was a gift to me because in your post I found the words I had struggled to find myself to give to my sons.We have dealt with many trials since her passing and I am fortunate I didn't lose them both in the last year.Still I could not do anything that could get them back on their feet and ready to carry on in life as we all must do in times like this. After getting permission I shared your post on both their timelines. The response has been more than I could have hoped for.I had hoped they would at least understand and maybe find comfort in your words but they have both responded by getting back up on their feet and fixing their eyes on the future that lies ahead.I have my sons back and I have you to thank for it.I hope I can make the most of this gift and that I can honor your memory in my shelter advocacy efforts.Im new at it but I have the passion to continue the work you started.I will do my best,I promise you,and I hope when my time comes and I see you at the bridge I hope you can tell me I did well.God Bless.

Its a rarity to have the opportunity to know a human being as kind, gentle, compassionate and giving as Nico. He was the real deal and has touched the hearts and souls of so many, both two-legged and four legged beings. Nico is sorely missed and yet we rejoice that he is out of pain and in the company of his beloved mom, other relatives and friends who went before him, and all the furkids who awaited his arrival at the Bridge. Though he is physically gone, Nico's legacy will live on through all the lives he impacted during his short time on this earth. Rest in peace dear Nico.

Nico, I never view life as a goodbye but, as a see you later. As you passed over the Rainbow Bridge, I am positive you were greeted by many familiar faces. The sick, the healthy, the old, the young, the frail, the larger & the list goes on & on. I am sure that you kept everyone waiting as you stopped to pat each head and shake every paw along the way. You meant a lot in the animal community and not only the were you a blessing for what you stood for, you were a blessing for what you spoke up for. May your loved ones find comfort in the work that you have done here, on Earth & know that you are still working from above. May you always rest in peace and happiness surrounded by the loved ones of time past and of the future and the furry ones that have looked to you for more than love or guidance. Fly free & pain free and while there was no end in sight here, the ending you have is eternal and we will all see you soon. Thank you for all of the tireless sacrifices you made for each & every one you had any part in saving or training. <3

Nico, I will never forget that night in June that we attended the Relay for Life dinner together. You were such an inspiration to everyone there. You were the "newbie" in the group only know you had cancer for a couple months but you will stood tall and told them all you were a "survivor".....In my heart you will always survive. You have been a blessing for helping on Nitro's Law and a strong force in the Central Ohio area for all animal rescues. I am sure you are sticking tight at Rainbow Bridge watching over all the babies there. Please stay close to my Stevie Nicks that went before you on December 10th. I know she was there waiting on this great man mom spoke of so often named "Nico"... Love you always my best friend. Kathy
