Though we never had the chance to meet, I enjoyed our talks on the phone and the letter you wrote. Bless you aunt Ida and bless those who love you.

Ida was a kind and wonderful woman. I had the opportunity to play basketball with her son, Tom at Bishop Ready and she was always supportive. Ida and her husband always drove us around town to play basketball, go to the movies and to the track.
She was always upbeat and lived with enthusiasm every day. I was blessed to know her.
God Bless

Our Condolences to all of Grammy's loving family. She was a great lady and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. Always keep her near by keeping your memories of her forever in your hearts.
The Next Room
Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped
away into the next room. I am I, and you are you.
What ever we were to each other, that
we still are. Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way which you
always used. Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me,
pray for me. Let my name be the household word
that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means
all that it ever meant, It is the same as it ever was;
there is unbroken continuity, Why should I be
out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere
very near, just round the corner.
All is well.

You were an amazing lady Grammy. I love you so much and I will always keep you in my heart. I'm so happy that I got the chance to have my great grandmother in my life for a little over 21 years. You were such a joy to have in my life and I have so many great and funny memories of you. You always made all of us laugh. Thank you for all the advice you have given me about my wedding and I promise I will follow what you have said. I know you will be there in spirit Grammy. I love you so much!

I have been blessed in life to have known truly special people. Ida Reid is at the top of that list. From the time I was in third grade to the day she dropped Tom and I off at college in the middle of Kansas and now to her journey to heaven she always had a smile, always an encouraging word and best peanut and jelly sandwich I have ever had. This dear lady would want us to fill our empty hearts with happy memories to help us find a smile. I thank her for sharing a part of her with me, it has made me a better person. I will remember your laughter and your love of life.
