Jack Kitzmiller Obituary

Kitzmiller Jack Brock Kitzmiller, 80, of Reynoldsburg, died Thursday, September 11, 2014 peacefully at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Helen (McHale) Kitzmiller; daughter, Cynthia (Kitzmiller) Greiner; his brother, Dave (Linda) Kitzmiller; granddaughter, Jennifer (Dave) Brett; grandson, Steven (Tracy) Ring; grandson, Matt (Lou) Greiner; great-grandchildren, Katie, Ryan, Evan, Chase, Callie, Gabe, Michael, Joseph; cousins, Tom Bertman, Florence Ann Short; nieces, nephews, and many more close friends. Jack is preceded in death by his parents Dave and Ruth Kitzmiller, in laws Arch and Marcella Warren, son-in-law Michael Greiner, grandson Bradley Greiner, and lifelong friend Rollie Powell. Raised in Reynoldsburg, Jack was a 1952 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, served in the Ohio National Guard, worked for Rockwell International, owner of Brocks Auto Electric, a life member of the Reynoldsburg Truro Historical Society, member of the antique car club, was one of the oldest living members of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, member of Central Ohio Bluegrass Association, and most of all a wonderful and genuine person to be around. His passion for helping others, telling stories, and listening to bluegrass music will be forever missed. Family and friends will be received at COTNER FUNERAL HOME in Reynoldsburg, Sunday from 2-6 p.m. and a service will be held at the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church on Monday at 11 a.m. with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. A funeral procession will depart for a burial at Glen Rest Memorial Estate following the service. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Jack's life long love for the historical society, please make donations to: Reynoldsburg Historical Society, 1485 Jackson St., Reynoldsburg Ohio 43068. God Bless you for all you have endured recently. Your Dad was a wonderful caring person. He always made me feel so special and loved.
