Alice, We were so sorry to hear of your family's loss. Being a classmate of Jim's at UAHS ('52) was a real blast! Being his friend was a privilege. We will miss him. In the end, a 'good man' has left us.

Alice,
We were all really looking forward to seeing Jim at our 60th UAHS reunion this July 4th.
Jim, Don Bowers, and Sonny Forsyth and myself had some riotous times together in high school as the "Norwesters" barbershop quartet.
Jim was a real leader for our class, had a great career, and mostly, was posessed with a wonderful sense of humor.
We are so sorry for you and your family..It's a big loss for all who knew him.

Praying for you and your family Crissy and so sorry for your loss.

Alice, we all share in the joy of Jim's life. I can not think of a more positive and friendly person; from the first time I met him caddying and playing junior golf, working with him as a greenkeeper at Ohio State University Golf Course,to simply anticpating that smile when greeting or absorbing his genuine interest in everyone else. Very few people have had such a principled impact over that long a period of time . The sorrow accompanying the immediacy of his death will recede and be replaced by the joy inherent in his memory.

I volunteered at Riverside Methodist Hospital with Jim. It was a joy to see and speak to him each week. It seemed so easy for him to give a helping hand, a smile and kind word to anyone who needed it. A gentle man and his sense of humor always left a cheerful note to the day.

So sorry to learn that he won't be with us anymore and my prayers are for and with the family he loved so much.
